Clad in slashed finery of outrageous colors, the Landsknechts marched to war as a living tempest of steel and defiance. These feared mercenaries answered to no lord save coin and their own elected captains, their pike squares shattering the finest cavalry of Europe while their Doppelsöldner carved bloody paths through enemy ranks with greatswords taller than a man.

Benefit:

You can only use Landsknecht Style with weapons from the Polearms, Heavy Blades, Crossbows or Firearms weapon groups.

All landsknechts receive a +2 bonus on Appraise, Intimidate and Profession (Soldier).

While in Landsknecht Style, you receive the following benefits when fighting alongside others.

Landsknecht Formation: While you and at least 3 adjacent allies form a square formation, you receive a +2 morale bonus to saving throws agains fear, a +1 morale bonus to attack rolls for combat maneuvers and +1 to the DC of combat maneuvers. These bonuses are doubled if all allies in the formation are also using Landsknecht Style.

Special: You cannot activate styles out of combat. Activating a style is a swift action and you can have solely one active style at a time.
