Ornulu

Ornulu the wolfe, once a formidable protector of the village, now turned against it. Deal with him.

Requirements: Level 2

Description: Find Ornulu the wolf in the black forest around the village. To do so, you must succeed a survival check DC 20. You gain a +5 bonus, on the check if you have the track feat. In a group, only one character is allowed to make the survival check. You can try up to three times, if you fail all of them the challenge is lost. When you found Ornulu, you have to deal with him. It turns out he has rabies, thats why he turned against the village. Either kill the wolf or cure him. If you want to cure the wolf, you first need to calm it. Calmining is a full round action, that involves a handle animal check DC 20. After calming, the disease needs to be cured. Either by a "cure disease" ability or spell or by three heal skill checks that must sum to at least 50. If you want to kill Ornulu, he is an incredibly tough opponent. Ornulu has the following stats:

400 HP, 0DR, 20AC

Weakness against polearms. The threat range of polearms is tripled against Ornulu.

Bite +12 1d6+10 damage + rabies DC 15 + trip DC 22.

3d6 bonus damage against prone opponents

Rabies: Until you win a challenge, you suffer from the negative effects of rage.
