Benefit: A guarding spell works like the ready spell action. Choose a trigger as for a ready action and once the trigger is triggered the spell is cast. The origin of the spell is at the point where the spell has been cast and conditions as range must still be met. A guarding spells must be triggered within 3 turns after casting.

A guarding spell uses up a spell slot two level higher than the spell’s actual level. Or one level if the spell is a counter spell or from the abjuration school.

You can only have one active guarding spell at a time.
