The first memory drass has is being cast into this world in a storm of magic. He doesn't know where he comes from, he doesn't know his parents and he has no memory before the magic storm. So he believes he was born in this storm and that his mother is magic itself (although it is of course totally possible that he was just pushed through a rainbow wall). This believe is strengthened by the fact that he could work magic from the very beginning without having to learn it.

He also believes that magic is on his side and that it has a will of its own. So he thinks it wrong to shape it into a specific from and he believes the highest form of magic is one that lets magic itself decide what form it takes. He admires anybody who learns magic naturally and without the teachings of an academy. He heard about Elliot supposedly a sorcerer that holds a high rank among wizards. Admiring this feat he wanted to meet Elliot. He also heard that Elliot is now with the Blood-T'Chock squad. So he tried to seek them out by waiting where he was in Degistan and periodically casting Wildmagic to see what happens. After a few days Pete messed up a Teleport spell and the squad landed right in front of Drass so he decided to join them.

Drass helped the squad on their mission and used this time to learn from Elliot. He since has written his doctors thesis and received a familiar. The familiar is Mimir a talking skull Drass bought in Sigil. While assisting Elliot in his research he also started to do some experiments on himself and thus acquired some demonic powers which he himself merely sees as a natural maturing process for someone that is born from magic itself.

When the squad entered the Nine Hells Drass realized, that he must have some roots there. He began doubting that he was born from magic alone. Although he still believes that magic has played a part in his creation he now thinks that the base for his existence has two parts. One being his nature as a Tiefling granting him his racial powers which are closely connected to order. The other part being the magic powers that spat him into the world granting him his class abilities. He attributes his demonic powers and his ability to cast spells to those magic powers which are closely connected to chaos. He decided, that he wants to use the time in the Nine Hells to explore his Tiefling heritage which he neglected up to that point.
