A spellcasters weapon can be used without disturbing casting with somatic components. Spellcaster weapons are often restricted to a special school or a set of spells. A spellcasters weapon adds its enchantment bonus to caster level checks, melee and ranged touch attacks and half their enchantment bonus (round up) to the DC of affected spells.
