Features

Weapon Familiarity: Gnomes treat any weapon with "gnomish" or "gnome" in the name and one-handed firearms as martial weapons, rather than exotic weapons.

Illusion and Enchantment Resistance: Gnomes receive +4 on saving throws versus illusions and enchantments.

Nimble Witted: Once per day Gnomes receive one additional swift action or cast his racial spell-like ability as a free action during his turn.

Knacks of the arcane trickster: Illusion effects, racial spell-like and the dirty trick combat maneuver of gnomes have a by one point higher DC and count as being from a character 2 levels higher.

Defensive Training: Gnomes receive +4 dodge bonus to armor class versus giants.

Gnome Magic: All gnomes possess the ability to work magic. They may cast Dancing Lights, Ghost Sound, Prestidigitation, Silent Image, and Speak with Animals as spell-like abilities. They may use all those spell-like abilities from a combined uses per days pool which is equal to 2 + intelligence modifier (at least once) times. They also have a small complement of other spell-like abilities, as determined by their bloodline. The DC's if any are intelligence based.

Racial Powers

Greater Racial Power: In the third turn of combat and every third turn thereafter the gnome gains an additional swift action. Furthermore, the gnome my cast their spell-like abilities instead of performing any other combat maneuver, e.g., as a swift action when using duelist style.

Subraces

Deep Gnome

Attributes: +2 Wisdom, +2 Dexterity, -2 Charisma

Darkvision: You possess darkvision 36m.

Stonecunning: This ability grants a Deep Gnome a +2 racial bonus on Search checks to notice unusual stonework, such as sliding walls, stonework traps, new construction (even when built to match the old), unsafe stone surfaces, shaky stone ceilings, and the like. Something that is not stone but that is disguised as stone also counts as unusual stonework. A Svirfneblin who merely comes within 10 feet of unusual stonework can make a Search check as if he were actively searching, and a Svirfneblin can use the Search skill to find stonework traps as a rogue can. A Svirfneblin can also intuit depth, sensing his approximate depth underground as naturally as a human can sense which way is up.

Magic Resistance: Svirfneblins possess spell resistance 5 + their level + their highest mental attributes modifier. Versus detection spells the resistance increases by 4.

Lesser Racial Power: Deep Gnomes receive +2 dodge bonus to armor class.

Moderate Racial Power: Deep gnomes add blindness, blur, vanish and disguise self to their list of spell-like abilities.

Greater Racial Power: Instead of the normal gnomen greater racial power snirfneblins can cast their racial spell-like abilities without breaking invisibility effects. Also they add the spells invisibility and alter self to their spell list.

Forest Gnome

Attributes: +2 Wisdom

Low light vision: You have low light vision.

Hidden in the nature: Forest gnomes receive +4 on stealth checks in forests and hedges. Including gardens.

Natures Guards: Forest gnomes do not take the usual penalty for difficult terrain but simply can only move half their movement speed.

Lesser Racial Power: Enemies which are hindered by difficult terrain count as flanked for the forest gnome.

Moderate Racial Power: A forest gnome adds entangle, barkskin, pass without trace and one druid spell of the first level to his list of spell-like abilities.

Feats: None.

Rock Gnome

Attributes: +2 Constitution

Low light vision: You have low light vision.

Pranksters: Rock gnomes apply their Arcane Trickster bonus to all mind effects including mental combat maneuvers.

Lesser Racial Power: The hitpoint rate of rock gnomes increases by 1.

Moderate Racial Power: The rock gnome adds charm person, hideous laughter and one enchantment or illusion spell of the first wizard level to his list of spell-like abilities.

Feats: None.

Whisper Gnome

Attributes: +2 Dexterity

Darkvision: You possess darkvision 18m.

Fast Sneaks: Whisper gnomes may sneak at full speed without a penalty to the stealth check. They may run with -10 instead of the normal -20. And may use snipe with half the normal penalty.

Lesser Racial Power: Whisper Gnomes have a hang to the dark arts, arcane trickster also improves the DC of poisons, and necromancy.

Moderate Racial Power: The whisper gnome adds mage hand, ventriloquism, silence and one necromancy spell of the first level from the wizards spell list to his list of spell-like abilities.
