Nilbogism

Enchantment [Compulsion]
Level: Wizard 4, Bard 3, Nilbog 1
Duration: 1 round per level
Action: standard action
Range: touch
Save: Will negates

Nilbogs were goblins possessed by trickster spirits, the result of a condition known as nilbogism.

Any opponent attempting to directly attack the warded creature, even with a targeted spell, must attempt a Will save. If the save succeeds, the opponent can attack normally and is unaffected by that casting of the spell. If the save fails, the opponent can’t follow through with the attack (that part of its action is lost); furthermore the creature will praise the caster until the end of its next turn losing any actions and reactions, but not losing any defensive capabilities. When the Nilbog moves, the creature will try to get adjacent to the Nilbog in their turn and continue praising. This spell does not prevent the warded creature from being attacked or affected by area of effect spells.
