Khanzok-Din
Khanzok-Din son of Brannzok-Din originally joined the Thunder-T'chok-squad to travel with them because he made an urgrosh for his nephew. But he decided to stay with them a little longer to fight the devils. He is feared for attacking several foes at once through the use of the whirling blade spell. But after internal conflict in the squad Khanzok-Din felt Berzok didn't have control over the asels so Khanzok-Din left the squad to pursue his original goal of delivering the urgrosh and to pursue his newfound goal of making the Mountain King set. So he didn't witness the descendant of the Thunder-T'chok-squad to the Blood-T'chok-squad.
He still has a deep respect for his old squad leader Berzok and if asked to do so will be willing to help the squad although he will never become a member again.
The Urgrosh was delivered and he finally was back in his home working on the mountain kings weapons. The Ward was already done and so was Foeforger and he had just begun drawing the schemes for the Mountainkings Chestguard while a mage he knew was working on Stonefinger.
The work had to be done quickly he reckoned. The Mountain King would need these weapons to fight against the fraction of the dwarves who had succumbed to the vile influence of Athros. They were even erecting a statue of one of these vile undead monkeys right next to Muradin’s statue on the main square. Of course Khanzok had spoken publicly against them but it didn’t help much so he was preparing for yet another fight.
While he was thinking about the runes needed for the armor all of a sudden his door swung open violently and a dwarf not wearing armor and with a beard that was trimmed shortly entered the room.
”What?” Khanzok was disgruntled.
”You are under arrest for slaying our prophet Aetherdas” the other dwarf said with a stern voice.
”Under whose authority?” Khanzok asked while slowly reaching for Foeforger
”The Kings” this answer shocked Khanzok but he kept his composure and made up his mind quickly.
”Then he is not fit to be king” He stated while grabbing for his weapon.
”I had hoped for this answer.” The other dwarf said with a satisfied look on his face and as he spoke the ceiling collapsed on Khanzok. He could feel his legs being crushed under the rubble as two four arms entered his workshop through the roof. Khanzok felt the world going black but he refused to accept this fate. He grabbed Foeforgers handle that stuck out between to stones and let the weapon dance. And dance it did. It crushed brittle bone and fresh skull it danced outside the workshop and danced between the soldiers waiting there and as it finished dancing Khanzok was the only one left who was able to move. Not much that is since his legs were crushed under a big rock. He steeled his resolve and started crafting his armor. He beat it over and over driving the metal through flesh and bone until the legs that had held him back weren’t holding him back anymore. Then he cast the fly spell on his armor, and escaped into the darkness of the Underdark.
After these events Khanzok gathered a small number of dwarves loyal to the old ways and formed his own squad. He fought a relentless war against the dwarves who now followed Athros. Countless dwarves died by his hands but the mountain King who had found his blueprints of the Mountainkings Chestguard and the items that were already finished was an enemy he could not defeat. And he could not risk Foeforger falling into the kings hand so he retreated back into deeper areas of the Underdark.
As more and more of his comrades fell he had to employ the help of non-dwarven allies which also led to some alliances with drow and duergar. He found that even these species he had believed to be the lowest form of living were capable of loyalty and respect. Attributes he never wanted to admit asels to be capable of.
But even with these new allies the fight against the dwarven empire that was spreading into the Underdark with the help of undead fighters was a lost cause and so he decided to seek out Berzog with the intent of making him king someday.
