Ti'rilliar
Being of a tribe of elves that mixed with humans and having an ancestor who was a troll Ti'rilliar has always accepted it as natural, that the other elves looked down on him. Those were the rules. He was the best student of magic but never received any praise since he was not a full-blooded elf. Those were the rules he accepted since it was the only rules he knew. When his brother got sick he didn't get healed because the healer was busy tending to the cold of a full-blooded elf. Those where the rules and they had to be followed. One night some elves including Ti'rilliars mother got attacked by a raiding gang of Orcs and they got killed. Seeking revenge Ti'rilliar wanted to chase after the Orcs but the elvish council had to approve acts of war which always took a long time. Long enough for the orcs to escape. The first time in his life Ti'rilliar broke the rules. He went after the Orcs alone and killed all of them. The council was furious and exiled him.
This night and all nights after it for a week he dreamt of a strongbox and of a bow which he recognized as Corellons. He took that as a sign, that it was indeed more important to end evil than it is to abide strictly to all rules.
So he went after the bow which normally was a sin since by elvish law it was an artifact not meant to be held by a mortal hand. But by now he firmly believed that the laws of the elves were like a cancer that grew inside their community stopping them from achieving any of the goals they set for themselves and that they were to be ignored. He also believes that it is Corellons will to do so since he sent a dream about his bow right after Ti'rilliar broke those laws to kill the orcs that killed his mother. Tirelessly he searched for strongboxes, marked down their location and scryed on them. So he saw the Thunder-T'chock-squad opening the box that contained Corellons bow. He took that as another sign and joined the squad, and pledged his allegiance to Berzok in change for the bow. He has since embraced his Troll ancestor and turns into the Troll form to gain the power to kill of evil.
The fact that the squad saved the world from an oncoming comet and from the occupancy by devils strengthens his believe that he is moving in the right direction even if the means used by the squad are sometimes controversial.
When the squad encountered the dragon Cloud they were given a decision. The dragon would punish one of them because the squad once killed one of his grand grandchildren. So one of them had to step up and take the punishment. The two people in the squad who could have been the once to kill the grand grandchild were Ti'rilliar and Ed. The squad argued about handing the big gold statue to the dragon which Berzog strictly opposed. Berzog then ordered the Ratling Hanzo to sacrifice himself. When Ti'rilliar worded his disgust with that decision Berzog withdrew the order and agreed to trade in the statue but he had already lost all respect Ti'rilliar once held for him. Ed stepped up and the Ratling said he would take the punishment for him. Ti'rilliar already disgusted with the squads behavior through this wouldn't accept that someone who wasn't even present when the crime was committed would take the punishment. So he told the dragon he was ready to admit to the crime. He wrote a goodbye letter to his father and handed it to Shan-Zul together with the Bow of Corellon. He then got eaten by Cloud. He left the world full of anger and disappointment because the leader he held so high had stooped so low.
The letter he wrote reads like this
Dear father,
forgive me for my selfishness. My leaving the clan must have been a great ordeal for you. But i couldn't act otherwise. I write to you in my hour of dying and so time is of the essence and this letter won't be long. I traveled the world and have encountered marvelous things. I encountered friendship and trust and i encountered greed and bloodlust. I found friends and comrades who weren't elves, who displayed more courage than any of my elven brethren ever could. They are passionate and full of ambition. But i also saw what this ambition can do to them. Even the best of their men can give in to their desires and then they throw away their ideals like the trees throw away their leafs in autumn.
But please don't think i turned bitter. I don't regret leaving the elven world and i don't regret having found those friends. Maybe the only regret of mine is misjudging one man and trusting him to much.
Enough of these dark words. I want to tell you that i found the bow of Corellon. It is on a plane called Fearun now in the hands of a man i think is the most fit amongst those that are around me in this dark hour. I played a part in the disappearance of the devils from Greyhawk and the disappearance of the Comet that was threatening to destroy our world. So after all i guess i achieved a lot in the short time i was gone. The last thing i want you to know is that in my hour of death my thoughts are with you and that i hope you are not sad that it has turned out this way but happy for all the good things i have brought to the world.
